Job summary

Woodland Trust in the United Kingdom is seeking a Data Protection Coordinator to support our compliance programmes under the UK GDPR.

You will coordinate privacy audits, help deliver the Data Protection Action Plan, manage inquiries, draft policies, handle individual rights requests, and report KPIs to the Executive Leadership Team. This hybrid role combines home working with monthly head office attendance at Grantham.

Qualifications

• Experience of data protection within a broader compliance context.
• Ability to prioritise and plan effectively.
• Strong knowledge of UK GDPR, PECR, DUAA and DPA.
• Experience drafting and maintaining policies and procedures.
• Experience handling individual rights requests and data breach responses.
• Ability to produce quality reporting for senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate data privacy audits to support compliance.
• Contribute to the Data Protection Action Plan delivery.
• Manage the shared inbox for data privacy queries.
• Maintain and monitor business systems for compliance.
• Draft and update data protection policies and raise awareness.
• Support reporting of Data Protection KPIs to the Executive Leadership Team.
• Assist with responses to individual rights requests and breach handling.
• Work in a hybrid role with occasional head office attendance in Grantham.
