*** Please note that this role is onsite and requires 5 days per week in our London office near Liverpool Street. ***

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Maintain a Data Privacy Framework across the group in UK, Europe, APAC, Dubai, USA, Canada, and other jurisdictions.
  2. Process data subject access requests and support procedures and systems.
  3. Manage the DPO Inbox to identify SARs, Erasure requests, and other business communications.
  4. Respond to requests for the right to be forgotten, data retention, and erasure.
  5. Maintain personal data inventory ROPA and Data discovery processes.
  6. Demonstrate research and report writing skills, with understanding of Data Privacy laws and IT principles.
  7. Engage and advise teams across Financial Services, supporting Senior Management and regulators.
  8. Research data privacy and breach laws affecting the Group’s stakeholders.
  9. Manage data privacy breaches in conjunction with information security.
  10. Support creation of MIS reports/metrics related to Data Privacy, e.g., Data Breach Reports.
  11. Assist with due diligence and third-party risk management, including reviewing contracts and DPAs.
  12. Maintain internal data privacy policies and notices.
  13. Keep up with regulatory and legislative training, including new technologies and laws impacting personal data, such as AI.
  14. Contribute to data privacy culture, awareness, and training initiatives.
  15. Ensure confidentiality and undertake other duties as required.

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  1. Proven experience in Privacy regulations (GDPR, UK DPA, and others).
  2. Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  3. Report writing ability.
  4. Risk identification and solution design skills.
  5. Excellent communication skills, with ability to work across jurisdictions and stakeholders.
  6. Ability to build relationships and work as part of a team.
  7. Influencing and convincing skills.
  8. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  9. Willingness to learn legal principles and expand technical knowledge.
