Abacus is partnering with a leading commercial law firm to recruit a Solicitor into its specialist data privacy, AI and cyber practice. This forward‑facing role is ideal for a newly qualified solicitor or junior associate seeking a niche, future‑proof specialism.

You will support on a broad mix of advisory and contentious matters across data protection and cyber, handling UK and international frameworks, risk management, data governance, data breaches and regulatory investigations.

Competenze

• Newly qualified or up to 2 years PQE with exposure to data privacy, IT or regulatory work.
• Strong interest in data, technology and innovation.
• Commercially aware with a pragmatic, solution-focused approach.

Mansioni

• Advising on UK and international data protection frameworks and compliance
• Supporting clients on data governance, risk management and regulatory strategy
• Assisting with data breaches, cyber incidents and regulatory investigations
• Advising on the use of emerging technologies, including AI and digital platforms
• Supporting on cross-border data issues and international data transfers

Role Summary

You will support on a broad mix of advisory and contentious matters within data privacy and cyber. Key responsibilities include:

• Advising on UK and international data protection frameworks and compliance

• Assisting with data breaches, cyber incidents and regulatory investigations

The Person

We’re keen to speak with Solicitors who:

• Are newly qualified or up to 2 years PQE, ideally with exposure to data privacy, IT or regulatory work
• Have a strong interest in data, technology and innovation
• Are commercially aware with a pragmatic, solution-focused approach
• Are strong communicators with excellent attention to detail
• Are eager to develop within a specialist, high-growth area of law.
