Job summary

Future is seeking a passionate Data Engineer to evolve data pipelines for our B2B and Go.Compare divisions. This role involves developing features of the data platform and applying insights from complex data challenges within a hybrid work environment in Bath.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Python, Google Cloud Platform, and SQL, along with expertise in data modelling and ETL development. The position offers an expected salary between £50,000 and £60,000, along with uncapped leave and profit-sharing bonuses.

Qualifications

• Experience using Python on Google Cloud Platform for Big Data projects.
• SQL development skills.
• Experience using Dataform or dbt.
• Demonstrated strength in data modelling, ETL development, and data warehousing.
• Knowledge of data management fundamentals and storage principles.
• Familiarity with statistical models or data mining algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain new/current features of the data platform.
• Responsible for delivery of development projects.
• Take ownership of BAU processes and seek automation.
• Provide appropriate documentation for pipelines developed.
• Parameterise pipelines for easy configuration changes.
• Apply testing principles to ensure code quality.
