Job summary

Barclays is seeking a Data Platform Engineer in London to build the AWS foundations powering our enterprise data platform. You will create reusable cloud services, automation pipelines, security controls and tooling to help engineering teams move faster while staying reliable and governed.

You'll work with platform, data and security engineers to turn common infrastructure needs into scalable platform capabilities, delivering a consistent, secure engineering experience across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Reusable module design and IaC patterns for scalable platforms.
• Testing strategies (unit/integration) for cloud pipelines.
• State management and promotion across environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of scalable software and platforms.
• Mentor engineers and align technical choices with business goals.
• Collaborate with product teams to translate requirements into platform capabilities.
