Job summary

The Hyndburn Academy is seeking a Data Officer to join our data and safeguarding team. You will manage the MIS, ensure data quality, and provide reports to senior leaders to support school improvement.

You will work with curriculum teams and external organisations, handling confidential information with discretion, and promoting accurate census, attendance, admissions, and data processes to help every learner succeed.

Qualifications

• Experience with school data management and MIS is preferred.
• Strong IT, organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Job description

You'll work closely with curriculum teams, leadership and external organisations to help maintain the highest standards of data integrity, regulatory compliance and learner support, making a real difference to the success of our provision. The Data Officer will report into the Cluster Data Manager and work with colleagues at Accrington Academy and Marsden Heights Community College.,

• Manage and maintain the school's Management Information System (MIS)
• Ensure pupil data is accurate, up to date, and compliant
• Produce reports and analyse data for senior leaders
• Support attendance, admissions, and census returns
• Work closely with school staff to ensure the smooth running of data processes

• Have a high attention to detail and the ability to manage confidential information

  Salary: £25,000-£35,000 (FTE) plus benefits including: Local Government Pension, Health Care Cash Plan, Generous Staff Discount scheme, at least one personal leave day per year.
