Job summary

Bright Purple is seeking an experienced Data Modeller to join a major data transformation programme in Edinburgh. This hands-on role focuses on creating clear, reusable data models that connect business concepts with technical implementation.

You’ll work with domain experts, architects, analysts, data product teams and engineers. You’ll perform conceptual, logical and physical modelling, establish common definitions and standards, and help design modern data products while mapping dependencies

Qualifications

• Proven commercial experience in Data Modelling across conceptual, logical and physical layers.
• Experience with Snowflake or comparable cloud data platform.
• Strong SQL and data querying skills.
• Ability to map business concepts to technical implementations.
• Experience with data product schemas and data contracts.
• Knowledge of metadata, glossary and data cataloging.
• Familiarity with data modelling tools and repositories.

Bright Purple are looking for an experienced Data Modeller to join a major data transformation programme in Edinburgh.

This is a hands on role focused on creating clear, reusable data models that connect business concepts with technical implementation. You’ll work closely with domain experts, architects, analysts, data product teams and engineers to improve how data is understood, structured and used across the organisation.

You’ll be working across conceptual, logical and physical data modelling, helping establish common definitions, relationships and standards while supporting the design of modern data products.

What we’re looking for

• Strong commercial Data Modelling experience
• Conceptual, logical and physical data modelling
• Experience with Snowflake or a comparable modern cloud data platform
• Strong SQL and data querying skills
