Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is seeking a Data Manager for a well-established 11–18 secondary school in the London Borough of Haringey. The role focuses on managing the MIS, safeguarding pupil data, and producing reliable reports to support attainment, progress and attendance.

You will work with senior leaders, pastoral teams and teaching staff, ensuring data accuracy, GDPR compliance and timely reporting across assessment cycles and governing body requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous Data Manager or School Data Officer experience.
• Experience with a school MIS.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and organisational abilities.
• Understanding of confidentiality and GDPR.
• Experience within a school environment desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the school's management information system
• Ensure pupil records are accurate and up to date
• Process admissions, transfers and student leavers
• Produce attendance and attainment reports
• Support assessment and reporting cycles
• Prepare data for senior leadership meetings
• Assist with statutory school returns
• Monitor data quality and investigate inconsistencies
• Support staff using the school's MIS
• Provide guidance on data entry and reporting procedures
• Maintain appropriate data protection and GDPR procedures
• Produce information for governors and school leaders where required
• Support wider administrative projects involving pupil data
