Job summary

Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Data Lead to manage hospital and ACTS data reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. You will work with clinicians and the BI team to interpret data and drive improvements across Poole and Bournemouth sites.

You will oversee data submissions, develop dashboards and train staff on data handling, with a focus on confidentiality and NHS guidance.

Qualifications

• Advanced Excel skills and data handling experience in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to explain what data shows to clinicians and commissioners.
• Experience with data quality, validation and reporting standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage all statutory and mandatory data submissions for ACTS/UHD, including NDTMS and tobacco data.
• Coordinate collection, validation and entry of patient data with clinical staff and BI team.
• Build and maintain reporting databases, dashboards and digital processes.
• Produce routine and ad-hoc reports with high accuracy and timely delivery.
• Interpret data with clinicians and service managers and turn into actionable recommendations.
• Act as single point of contact for ACTS data queries across Poole and Royal Bournemouth sites.
• Design and deliver training on data handling and spreadsheet use.
