Job summary

Stoke-on-Trent City Council seeks an experienced Data Integrity Officer to ensure robust data quality across the Housing Revenue Account (HRA) service and related housing systems within the Housing Regulation and Strategic Services framework.

The role provides strategic oversight, drives data governance and reconciliation, and informs policy through accurate reporting and insights for tenants and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of the housing sector, including current legislation, policy, funding and local and national priorities.
  • Experience with housing data, performance information and management systems, using insights to support service improvement and informed decision-making.
  • Excellent research, analytical and reporting skills with ability to turn complex information into clear recommendations.
  • Strong communicator with ability to build relationships across stakeholders and deliver results through teamwork and influence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver strategic projects that improve the quality of housing, data and insight, helping to shape investment decisions and enhance services for tenants and leaseholders.
  • Oversee the quality, accuracy and integrity of housing data across systems, identifying and resolving data issues where needed.
  • Ensure data is consistent, well-managed, and fit for purpose through regular monitoring, analysis, and data cleansing activities.
  • Produce and maintain accurate, accessible, and meaningful performance reports that support service improvement and informed decision-making.
  • Provide leadership and direction for the delivery of the Data Quality Improvement Plan.
  • Ensure strong governance and oversight of data-related projects, working with boards, steering groups, and formal decision-making processes to achieve successful outcomes.

Stoke-on-TrentCity Council is seeking an experienced professional in the role of DataIntegrity Officer to ensure its landlord responsibilities within the HousingRegulatory Framework are fulfilled as regards to the Transparency, Influenceand Accountability standard.

Thisnew post will ensure robust data quality management across the Housing RevenueAccount (HRA) Service, aligned to Housing Ombudsman and regulatory standards,to direct strategic projects, systems, housing policy and strategy so that thecustomer experience is tailored to individual need.

Therole will ensure the consistent and accurate recording of housing data,including its maintenance and accessibility, so as to inform housing servicesthat are fit for purpose for the whole tenant population, including any bespokeneeds in respect of EDI requirements.

Thisarea of work forms a critical part of Stoke-on-Trent City Council's housingimprovement journey, providing assurance that the HRA is delivering qualityservices, in line best practice and statutory requirements.

Thisrole will be responsible for providing strategic oversight of data quality andintelligence across the HRA, both in respect of its assets and people, dealingwith data integrity and reconciliation issues between key housing systems andother data retention methods, providing assurance of the control of data acrossall housing systems, controlling input sources and undertaking consistencyanalysis, ensuring that customer experience is tailored to individual tenantand property needs for its c17,000 retained stock.

Thisis an exciting time to be embedding a brand-new role into a well- establishedhousing compliance team within Stoke-on-Trent City Council.

KeyResponsibilities:
