Lead a specialist team and help shape how the business uses data.
Innova Recruitment is working with an organisation that helps people back into work to recruit a Data Insights Manager.
With the current manager moving on, you’ll take over an established team and have the opportunity to influence its direction, develop the people around you and work directly with senior leaders to put the team’s findings into practice.
The team’s analysis has already helped improve how people are supported into employment and how resources are planned across the business. You’ll build on that work, helping identify the questions worth exploring and turning the answers into decisions that improve services.
You’ll have a voice in the wider BI strategy, room to bring your own ideas and direct access to the operational leaders who can act on your recommendations.
There’s support for exploring different approaches and testing ideas, alongside a clear focus on making the work useful to the people delivering services. You’ll help the team balance that exploration with sharing findings and recommendations the business can use.
You’ll also have scope to help shape practical AI and automation initiatives, working with specialist colleagues to identify where these could reduce operational workload or improve how the business works.
Developing people is an important part of the role. The hiring manager encourages ownership and supports relevant training and qualifications, giving you room to develop your own leadership approach while helping others progress.
You’re likely to come from an analytics, insights, business intelligence or data science background, with experience connecting analytical work to business decisions.
We’re open to an existing manager, or a senior analyst or team lead who has already led people or analytical work and is ready to take on full people management.
The wider environment includes Power BI, Snowflake and Databricks. Familiarity with these tools would be useful, alongside the analytical understanding to guide specialists, evaluate their work and explain its value.
Experience in data governance, labour market analysis or services that support people into employment would also be useful.
If you’d like to lead a specialist team, have more influence over its direction and see how its work changes the services people receive, we’d be pleased to hear from you.
