The Role

We're seeking a talented individual to take ownership of the complete data lifecycle within Digital Services and the broader Digital team. This pivotal role involves overseeing everything from data collection and meticulous management to insightful analysis and the generation of actionable intelligence. You'll be instrumental in ensuring our Digital Service data is a true strategic asset, directly contributing to performance enhancements, the identification of exciting new opportunities, and the cultivation of a robust culture of data-driven decision-making across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and lead the Digital Services Data Team, managing the complete data journey across all Spares channels, encompassing collection, architecture, reporting, analysis, and process development.
  • Develop and maintain a robust dataset to enhance customer product identification across Digital Services channels and relevant customer UX.
  • Create and enforce data management policies, implement quality data collection methods, and establish secure procedures for data handling, analysis, and sharing.
  • Support the daily use of data systems, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards, assisting with reports and data extraction, and monitoring system performance for potential enhancements and security.
  • Contribute to the Digital Services management team, identify business improvement opportunities, support subscription service models, and lead by example to build a high-performing, proactive team capable of supporting future growth.

Skills And Competencies
  • Demonstrable experience in managing and leading a high-performing team within a business support or customer-facing environment.
  • Skilled in motivating and developing teams, alongside possessing excellent communication abilities.
  • Proactive and able to independently prioritise workload in response to changing business requirements, with experience in local stakeholder engagement.
  • Proficient in IT packages and demonstrating strategic thinking, good business planning skills, and a keenness for personal and team development.
  • Detail-oriented, a collaborative team player, and a proven problem-solver, ideally with A-Level (or equivalent) education, NVQ Level 5 or above, and experience in Lean Six Sigma and project work, including intermediate Excel skills and matrix management. Knowledge of the spares industry would be advantageous.
