Job summary

Marmion in Leeds is seeking a talented Data Analyst with Power BI experience to join our established Data Analytics team. You will design and deliver client dashboards, connect sources such as BigQuery and Google Sheets, build scalable data models, and create intuitive, insight-driven reports to support business decisions.

Qualifications

• Cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.
• Experience as a Data & Insights Analyst or similar is essential.
• Experience in a Marketing Agency, Consultancy, or eCommerce data is desirable.
• Strong Power BI Desktop/Service skills including Power Query, DAX, data modelling and workspace administration.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Great SQL skills for querying relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients and account managers to define goals, metrics, and dashboard requirements.
• Design, build and maintain white-labelled Power BI reports with intuitive UX.
• Extract and transform data from marketing platforms, SQL databases and Excel files.
• Build scalable data models in Power BI and create KPIs and cross-functional reports using DAX.
• Manage Power BI workspaces, apps and sharing including Row-Level Security.
• Present dashboards to clients, explain insights and refine reports based on feedback.
• Troubleshoot data issues, monitor refreshes and ensure accuracy of reporting.

We're searching for a talented Data Analyst with Power BI experience to join our client's established Data Analytics team and support the design and delivery of custom dashboards for clients; working with data across marketing, sales, e-commerce, inventory, and operations - connecting sources such as BigQuery and Google Sheets, building scalable data models, and creating intuitive, insight-driven dashboards that support business decision-making

• Client Requirements & Scoping: Work with clients and account managers to define goals, key metrics, and dashboard requirements.
• Custom Power BI Development: Design, build, and maintain white-labelled Power BI reports tailored to client needs, with intuitive UX for non-technical users.
• Diverse Data Integration: Extract and transform data from a range of client sources, including marketing platforms, SQL databases, and Excel files.
• Data Modelling & DAX: Build scalable data models in Power BI and use advanced DAX to create KPIs, time-based metrics, and cross-functional reports.
• External Sharing & Security: Manage Power BI workspaces, apps, and sharing, including Row-Level Security to protect client data.
• Client Presentation & Support: Present dashboards to clients, explain insights, answer questions, and refine reports based on feedback.
• Data Quality Assurance: Troubleshoot data issues, monitor refreshes, and ensure the accuracy of client reporting.

Skills & Experience:

• Please note that we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.
• Previous experience as a Data & Insights Analyst, Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or similar is essential.
• Experience working in a Marketing Agency or Consultancy, or an internal role working with eCommerce data.
• Confident skills & professional experience in Power BI Desktop and Service, including Power Query (M), complex DAX, data modelling, and workspace administration.
• Confident communicating with both internal and external stakeholders, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong SQL skills for querying and joining data from various relational databases.
• Advanced MS Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and Power Query.
• Great attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once, pivot between different client requests, and make sense of unstructured client data.
• Familiarity with cloud data warehouses and knowledge of Python or R would be desirable.
