Job summary

Howden UK&I is seeking a curious, analytical Data Insights Analyst to join the Data Science & Analytics team. You will shape data-driven decision making by analysing datasets, building reporting solutions, and communicating insights to stakeholders across Product, BI, Data Science, and Data Engineering.

With a focus on health insurance markets, you will uncover trends, support strategic objectives, and enable growth through clear storytelling and dashboards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience applying statistical and analytical techniques to generate meaningful insights.
• Experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI or similar BI tools.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management; able to present complex findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong SQL skills for extracting, manipulating, and analysing large datasets.
• Curious, proactive mindset to explore data and uncover insights.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on analytical environment.
• Keen interest in insurance products and how data supports underwriting and pricing.
• Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, CS, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance reporting solutions and dashboards to transform datasets into insights for stakeholders.
• Identify, analyse, and communicate trends, risks, opportunities, and drivers to inform decisions.
• Ensure data accuracy and quality through validation and cleansing.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships by gathering requirements and improving analytical solutions.
• Present findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
