Job summary

Woven By Toyota's London Data Infrastructure team seeks engineers to enable the next generation of automotive software development. You will engage with CV/ML peers, design scalable data platforms, and own critical data pipelines for large-scale vehicle data in the cloud.

The role emphasizes strong Python coding, distributed systems design, and collaboration across UK/US teams, with a focus on robust data processing and testing practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience developing cloud applications (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience writing testable and modular code.
• Experience building reliable, distributed applications for Data Processing or similar areas.
• Working with RPC protocols such as gRPC/protobuf.
• Extensive experience in Python (or another OO language).

Responsibilities

• Design the long-term strategy for several products.
• Build efficient data pipelines for ingestion from the vehicle fleet.
• Work on distributed systems that serve, process and transform data in the cloud.
• Mentor junior engineers in day-to-day work.
