Job summary

Speechify is hiring a Software Engineer for Data Infrastructure & Acquisition in Leeds. You will build and optimize data collection pipelines and cloud infrastructure to support model training at scale.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of software development experience, strong scripting in Bash/Python, and hands-on work with Docker, Terraform, and GCP. You will collaborate with AI researchers to advance data quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of industry software development experience.
• Proficiency with bash/Python scripting in Linux environments.
• Experience with Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts; familiar with GCP.

Responsibilities

• Be scrappy to source new audio data and ingest into pipelines.
• Operate and extend cloud infrastructure for ingestion pipelines (GCP, Terraform).
• Collaborate with Scientists to improve data quality, throughput and cost.
• Help define the AI Team data roadmap for Speechify products.
