Job summary

Speechify, a fully distributed tech company, is hiring a Software Engineer to join our Data team. You’ll own data collection pipelines to support model training, building high-quality datasets at petabyte scale and low cost through close integration of infrastructure, engineering, and research.

The ideal candidate has a CS degree, 5+ years in software development, and strong Bash/Python scripting, plus Docker and Terraform on GCP.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of industry software development experience.
• Proficiency with bash/Python scripting in Linux environments.
• Experience with Docker and IaC concepts; professional experience with GCP.
• Experience with web crawlers and large-scale data processing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and extend data ingestion pipelines for model training.
• Collaborate with data scientists to improve data quality and throughput.
• Operate cloud infrastructure (GCP) and Terraform-based deployments.
• Drive data roadmap to support next-generation AI models.
