Job summary

Sanderson in Milton Keynes (Hybrid, 1 day onsite) is seeking a Data Governance Officer to drive governance maturity across the business. You will support and embed governance standards, engage with stakeholders, and embed policies and processes to improve data quality and adoption.

We're partnering with a well-established organisation that is investing heavily in its data capability and is looking for a Data Governance Officer to play a key role in driving data governance maturity across the business. This is an opportunity to move beyond policy documents and frameworks, helping stakeholders understand the value of good governance and embedding best practice in a practical, business-focused way.

Data Governance Officer - The Role:

Working within a growing data function, you'll be responsible for supporting and enhancing data governance frameworks, engaging with stakeholders across the organisation, and helping to embed governance standards, policies and processes. You'll work closely with business teams to improve data quality, support governance forums, track improvement initiatives and drive wider adoption of governance practices.

We're Looking For:

• Experience working in a Data Governance role
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Experience embedding governance frameworks and driving organisational change
• Ability to influence and engage non-technical audiences
• A pragmatic, hands-on approach to governance
• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of initiatives

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of DAMA / DMBOK
