Job summary

SP Energy Networks is hiring a Data Governance Manager to lead the development and embedding of data governance policies and standards, ensuring data is treated as a strategic asset. The role requires strong regulatory awareness and collaboration across information security and data protection teams.

You will drive adoption of policies, oversee the Data Governance Forum, and support enterprise data catalog initiatives to ensure ownership and interoperability across the organisation.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of data governance frameworks, policies, and standards (DAMA, Ofgem Data Best Practice).
• Experience embedding governance frameworks in regulated utility environments.
• Strong data management, quality, and accountability know-how.

Responsibilities

• Develop, own, and maintain SPEN’s Data Governance framework with clear ownership and security.
• Define and evolve governance policies, standards, and frameworks for compliance.
• Lead Open Data Triage Framework and Data Sharing Infrastructure Trust Framework.
