Job summary

EXL is hiring a Data Governance Consultant in London, offering a permanent, hybrid role. You will conduct governance reviews, guide projects through ARB/CAB/SRB forums, and ensure adherence to Data Minimum Standards across multiple initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Business, or a related field is required.
• Experience in data governance, data management, or data risk and compliance, ideally within financial services or insurance is required.
• Hands-on governance reviews, assessments, and sign-offs for projects against defined data standards are required.
• Working knowledge of data ownership, data quality, metadata management, and governance frameworks is required.
• Experience participating in enterprise governance forums (ARB, CAB, SRB) is required.
• Familiarity with governance artefacts such as data readiness checklists and metadata templates is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct governance reviews, assessments, and sign-offs for initiatives to ensure compliance with Data Minimum Standards (DMS).
• Provide governance oversight across a portfolio of ongoing strategic initiatives from engagement to sign-off.
• Represent Data Governance in weekly enterprise review forums and governance boards.
• Act as the primary conduit between delivery teams and Data Governance to apply governance throughout the lifecycle.
• Ensure data ownership, quality, metadata management, and governance requirements are addressed in projects.
