Job summary

RELX seeks a Data Governance Coordinator to ensure data assets are managed as products with governance, quality, metadata, and standards applied across the data estate. You will act as a key link between central data capabilities and Data Stewards, supporting governance adoption, improving transparency, and driving trust in data across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting or coordinating data governance activities across datasets or products.
• Understanding of ownership, stewardship, metadata management, and data catalog practices.
• Knowledge of data quality principles and monitoring approaches.
• Ability to review governance compliance and implement standards.
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder management across business and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a defined set of datasets and data products across the Lakehouse and wider data estate.
• Ensure data products have clear ownership through assigned Data Stewards.
• Track completeness, maturity, and usability of data products.
• Ensure adherence to enterprise data governance standards and escalate where needed.
• Embed governance requirements into delivery and change processes.
• Drive completeness, quality, and discoverability of metadata and catalogue information.
• Monitor data quality outcomes, identify gaps, and support prioritisation of issues.
• Promote transparency through data lineage and coordination across teams.
