Job summary

La Fosse is seeking a Business Analyst for the Data and AI team to improve how data is managed, understood and used across the business. This hands-on role focuses on governance, quality and discoverability, translating business needs into practical improvements.

The successful candidate will work with data owners and technical teams to embed governance into solution design, leveraging Purview or Collibra and strong stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• Proven business analysis experience within data, analytics, governance or transformation programmes.
• Practical knowledge of Purview/Collibra or similar data governance tools including data map, catalogs and lineage.
• Strong understanding of data governance, ownership, stewardship, metadata and data quality.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements and translate them into functional specifications, user stories and polished backlogs.
• Map current and future processes, data flows, responsibilities and governance controls.
• Support configuration, adoption and use of Microsoft Purview, including cataloguing, glossaries and classifications.
• Help establish data ownership, stewardship, metadata standards and data issue management processes.
• Facilitate workshops to agree requirements and align stakeholders.
• Use SQL, reporting tools or data profiling outputs to investigate data quality issues and propose improvements.
• Collaborate with engineering, analytics, architecture, security and compliance teams to embed governance in solution design.
