Job summary

Careerwise in London is seeking a hands-on Business Analyst - Data Governance to work with business stakeholders, data owners and technology teams to capture requirements and map processes using Microsoft Purview.

This role focuses on data governance, defining current and future state processes, supporting data quality and ownership initiatives, and ensuring governance outcomes across cataloguing, glossary, lineage and data quality use cases.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent practical experience in Business Analysis, Information Management, Data Management, CS or related discipline.
• Certifications such as BCS, IIBA ECBA, CCBA or CBAP are advantageous.
• Data governance or data management certifications such as DAMA CDMP or DCAM are advantageous.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Purview concepts including Data Map, catalogs, glossary, lineage and data quality would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and document requirements for data governance initiatives.
• Document current and future state processes, data flows, roles and governance controls.
• Support definition and adoption of data ownership, stewardship and data quality processes.
