Macmillan Cancer Support is seeking a Data Governance Analyst to join a small, collaborative team. You will build and maintain standards, processes and documentation that define what data means, where it comes from, who owns it and how it should be used.
You’ll turn governance principles into practical ways of working, working with Data Owners, Stewards and business stakeholders to capture metadata, definitions, ownership, classifications and data quality requirements.
You don't need to be an expert in every technology we use. What's important is that you have the technical understanding to work confidently with data and governance concepts, alongside the communication skills to bring people with you. Experience of fundraising, CRM or supporter management systems within the charity sector is a bonus, but we're more interested in your ability to apply your expertise, learn our environment and build effective relationships across the organisation. At Macmillan Cancer Support, data has a vital role to play in helping us understand the people we support, make better decisions and ensure we can do whatever it takes for people living with cancer. We're looking for a Data Governance Analyst to join our small, collaborative team and help strengthen the way data is understood, managed and governed across Macmillan. This is a hands-on role where you'll help turn data governance principles into practical ways of working. You'll create and maintain the standards, processes and documentation that help colleagues understand what our data means, where it comes from, who owns it and how it should be used.
