Job summary

Polytec Ltd in Cambridge (CB23) is recruiting a Temporary Data Entry & Warehouse Assistant for September 2026 to January 2027. Hours are 9am–5pm, Monday to Friday, with a pay rate of £14 per hour.

This varied role combines accurate data entry with general warehouse duties. The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail, good computer skills (Microsoft Office), and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in data entry, administration, warehouse, or a similar role.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office and other business systems.
• Well-organised with good time management skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, hardworking and willing to learn.
• Comfortable carrying out repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy.
• Physically able to undertake general warehouse duties, including packing, stock handling and unloading deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Enter and transfer data accurately between internal systems
• Update and maintain electronic records
• Ensure information is accurate and up to date
• Assist with packing and preparing orders for dispatch
• Support goods receiving and stock handling
• Help unload deliveries when required
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure daily tasks are completed efficiently
• Follow company procedures and health & safety guidelines
