Job summary

Regional Recruitment is seeking a Warehouse Operative or Admin for an immediate start in Cambridge. The role is on-going with regular shifts and potential overtime. You will handle loading/unloading, stock checks, picking and packing, and use a computer/tablet to update records.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse or logistics experience is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to carry out manual handling and physically demanding tasks.
• Good attention to detail to ensure accurate picking and packing.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and a positive work ethic.
• Comfortable with resolving clients’ enquiries by phone or tablet.
• Computer/tablet literate and able to update warehouse system.
• Ability to follow health and safety procedures.
• Willingness to work shifts, overtime or weekends when required.
• Basic numeracy and literacy for reading labels and paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading deliveries using manual handling techniques.
• Checking incoming goods against delivery notes and reporting damages or discrepancies.
• Sorting, organising, and storing stock in correct locations.
• Operating warehouse equipment such as pallet pumps and forklifts when trained.
• Preparing goods for dispatch including labeling, wrapping and securing pallets.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Assisting with regular stock takes and inventory checks.
• Following health and safety procedures and warehouse regulations.
• Meeting daily productivity targets as part of a team.
• Supporting general warehouse duties as required by supervisors or management.
• Resolving client enquiries via phone conversations and updating warehouse system.
