Job summary

Channel 5, a unit of Paramount Global, seeks a Senior Data Engineer to own the design, build and operation of data pipelines powering streaming reporting and analysis. You will establish a unified view across behavioural, advertising and CRM data with a single identity spine.

You will define core metrics, govern tagging, monitor data quality, and enable autonomous experimentation for product and marketing teams while collaborating with Skydance data teams and Paramount’s data function.

Qualifications

• Senior level experience in data engineering with hands-on delivery.
• Expert SQL and Python for building data pipelines.
• Experience designing, building and operating ETL/ELT pipelines at scale.
• Deep hands-on experience with a modern cloud data warehouse and orchestration tooling.
• Strong knowledge of digital and product analytics platforms and event tracking.
• Experience joining behavioural, advertising and CRM datasets and resolving identity definitions.
• Track record of data quality monitoring, governance and trusted metrics.
• Practical knowledge of A/B testing methodology and statistical analysis.

Responsibilities

• Own the design, build and operation of data pipelines powering streaming reporting, dashboards and analysis.
• Establish a single joined view of content and audience performance across behavioural, advertising, marketing and registration data.
• Define core streaming metrics and codify business logic across systems to reconcile data.
• Own analytics tagging governance, including technical specs, naming standards and defect prioritisation.
• Establish data quality monitoring, alerting and scorecards with clear ownership and escalation routes.
• Build experimentation capability with templates, instrumentation standards and analysis patterns for autonomous testing.
• Develop in-house data modelling for churn, reactivation, targeting, segmentation and personalization.
• Own the data roadmap, identifying AI/automation opportunities to improve accuracy and cost.
• Collaborate with Skydance data teams as the technical data counterpart and provide direction to analytics.
• Lead data governance for streaming datasets with privacy and security teams to ensure compliance.
• Senior leadership exposure and ability to translate constraints for commercial stakeholders.
