Job summary

Morgan McKinley is seeking a Head of Data Engineering for a global organisation undergoing a Data and AI modernization journey. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on building modern data platforms and delivering business outcomes.

You will own the design, build and optimisation of ingestion, transformation, and data provisioning on a Snowflake-centric platform, leading Snowflake implementation across the UK and India and setting engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and delivering data platforms.
• Hands-on Snowflake implementation in asset management or professional services.
• Ability to implement medallion architecture from raw to curated to consumption-ready layers.
• Proven track record mentoring data engineers across multiple regions.

Responsibilities

• Own design, build and optimise ingestion, transformation and provisioning on Snowflake-centric platform.
• Lead Snowflake platform implementation and drive best practices across teams.
• Implement medallion architecture with clear data promotion standards.
• Mentor data engineers across UK and India and set delivery standards.
• Collaborate with Data Product, Analytics and AI teams on semantic models.
• Utilise Snowflake features: Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Dynamic Tables, Snowpark; SQL and Python with dbt.
