Made Tech Group is seeking a Data Engineer to join our data capability, delivering modern data platforms for public sector clients. You will work hands-on on engineering tasks and help upskill client teams to lift project outcomes.

Candidates should be comfortable collaborating with analysts and data scientists, designing scalable transformation pipelines, and adopting DevOps practices to underpin cloud data systems. We value clear communication and a learner mindset.

Qualifications

• Working directly with clients and users
• Designing and implementing efficient data transformation processes at scale, in either batch or streaming use cases
• Contributing to the cloud infrastructure underpinning data systems through a DevOps approach
• Basic understanding of the possible architectures involved in modern data system design (e.g. warehouses, lakes, and meshes)
• Agile practices such as Scrum, XP, and/or Kanban
• Showcasing and presentation skills
• Evidence of self-development – we value keen learners
• Empathy and people skills
• Working at a technology consultancy
• Working with data scientists to productionise advanced data deliverables, such as machine learning models
• Working knowledge of statistics
• Working with multidisciplinary digital and technology teams

Responsibilities

• As a Data Engineer, you will play a hands-on role delivering engineering work on client projects and upskilling client teams.
• You will contribute to the data capability within Made Tech and participate in hiring and team development.
• You will share knowledge through talks or blog posts and represent the company publicly.
