Atom Learning is seeking a Data Engineer to shape the data platform behind our learning products. You will own data collection, movement, transformation, and accessibility across our systems, enabling features like predictive grades and adaptive learning.

You’ll collaborate with engineers, product managers and education experts to turn complex problems into reusable data solutions and drive better outcomes for learners.

Qualifications

• Significant experience designing, building and scaling production data pipelines.
• Strong Python and SQL skills with maintainable and well-tested code.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses, orchestration tools and transformation frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve the data foundations behind customer-facing products, including predictive features and insights.
• Own the design, development and ongoing improvement of reliable, scalable data pipelines and models.
• Shape the technical direction of our data platform and improve how data moves between our application, warehouse and product surfaces.
• Build clean, well-tested and reusable solutions using Python, SQL and dbt.
• Improve data quality, observability and reliability so teams can trust the data they use.
• Work with product, engineering and education experts to understand problems and shape solutions.
• Create tooling and patterns that enable self-serve data for engineers and teams.
• Use AI tools and agents to research, prototype and get to better solutions faster.
• Contribute beyond the data layer to product features, APIs or automation.
• Review code, share expertise and raise data engineering standards across Atom.
• Mentor other engineers and grow data capability across the team.
