Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote AI Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for AI/ML initiatives. This fully remote UK role focuses on collecting, processing, and transforming large data sets for model training.

You will work with Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, and cloud data services (AWS/Azure/GCP), collaborate with data scientists, and ensure data quality, governance, and availability across platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• 3+ years in data engineering with AI/ML data prep.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, or Scala.
• Experience with Spark, Hadoop, Kafka.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services.
• Strong data warehousing knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for AI/ML applications.
• Develop ETL/ELT processes to ingest, clean, and transform data from various sources.
• Optimize data storage and retrieval processes for large-scale datasets.
• Collaborate with data scientists and AI engineers to understand data requirements.
• Implement data governance and quality assurance measures.
• Monitor data systems and troubleshoot issues to ensure data availability and integrity.
