Job summary

Syntax Consultancy Ltd seeks a Data Engineer skilled in Palantir Foundry to design and build scalable data pipelines and semantic models in Leeds. The role is hybrid, with start ASAP, and offers a permanent contract with competitive benefits.

You will work with data scientists, analysts and stakeholders to deliver production-grade data foundations for analytics, automation and operational decisions.

Qualifications

• Palantir Foundry experience required.
• Strong hands-on data engineering with Foundry components.
• Experience designing scalable data pipelines and semantic models.
• CI/CD and Git-based deployment experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and build end-to-end data pipelines with Palantir Foundry.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product teams to enable analytics.
• Maintain data products, metadata, and governance in Foundry ontologies.
• Implement automated testing and deployment patterns for data assets.

Data Engineer needed with strong Palantir Foundry experience. Permanent position based in Leeds (Hybrid). Start ASAP in September/October 2026.

Working remotely from home (WFH), with occasional travel into the office in Leeds. A chance to work with a leading global IT transformation on large-scale Government projects:

• Data Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Palantir Foundry to design + build scalable data pipelines, semantic models + data products.
• Working closely with data scientists, data analysts, product teams + stakeholders to deliver robust, production grade data foundations that support analytics, automation + operational decision making.
• Design, develop + maintain end-to-end data pipelines using Palantir Foundry (Pipeline Builder, Code Repositories, Data Lineage, Ontology, Workshop, Quiver).
• Implementing batch, incremental + streaming ETL/ELT workflows with reusable, production ready components.
• Data modelling, schema design, build data products, semantic layers, metadata management + governance.
• Designing + maintaining Foundry ontologies, including object types, link types, property types, and semantic relationships.
• Supporting Foundry Workshop apps, dashboards + end user analytical experiences.
• Implement automated testing, CI/CD patterns + deployment best practices for Foundry-based data assets.
• Technical Environment: Data Engineering, Palantir Foundry, Python, SQL, PySpark, Spark SQL + Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), CI/CD, Git based workflows.
