Job summary

Searchability NS&D is seeking a Security Cleared Palantir Foundry Data Engineer for a permanent role in the UK. You will design, develop and deploy scalable data solutions within the Palantir Foundry ecosystem, collaborating with client teams across projects.

The role requires active SC or DV clearance, with mid to lead level options and approximately three days on site in London. Up to £85k DoE plus package is offered.

Qualifications

• Proven Palantir Foundry experience in a data engineering role.
• Experience with Palantir Gotham and data modelling.
• Strong understanding of data governance, lineage and ontology design.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy scalable data solutions within the Palantir Foundry ecosystem.
• Build and optimise ETL/data pipelines across batch and streaming data.
• Develop Pad Foundry ontologies and data models for governance.
• Create scalable, high-performance Palantir architectures.
• Implement data governance, quality, metadata and lineage processes.
• Develop user-facing applications using Python and/or TypeScript.
• Collaborate with Agile teams across the full SDLC and CI/CD workflows.

New Permanent Opportunity for a Security Cleared Palantir Foundry Data Engineer

• Must have active SC or DV Clearance
• Mid to Lead levels available
• Up to £85 DoE plus package

Our client is a leading secure sector consultancy with a firmly established Palantir Data team. They’re in an exciting period of growth due to increased end-customer demand.

They work on complex, mission-focused programmes, using Palantir platforms to transform disparate data into trusted information assets, operational capabilities and actionable insights.

What will the Data Engineer be doing?

You’ll be responsible for designing, developing and deploying scalable data solutions across the Palantir Foundry ecosystem, working closely with technical teams and client stakeholders.

The role will involve building data pipelines and models, integrating diverse data sources, and supporting applications across the Palantir stack.

Key responsibilities include:

• Building and optimising ETL/data pipelines within Palantir Foundry
• Ingesting, transforming and enriching batch, streaming, real-time and unstructured data
• Developing logical and physical data models and Foundry Ontologies
• Designing scalable and high-performance Foundry architectures
• Implementing data governance, quality, metadata and lineage processes
• Developing user-facing applications using low-code and pro-code approaches
• Optimising and troubleshooting pipelines for performance, reliability and scalability
• Developing reusable solutions using Python and/or TypeScript
• Building and maintaining military workflows in Palantir Gotham
• Working within Agile teams and contributing across the full SDLC, version control and CI/CD

Key Skills and Requirements

• Strong commercial experience with Palantir Foundry
• Experience with Palantir Gotham
• Data engineering experience across ETL, pipelines and workflow orchestration
• Strong understanding of data modelling, Ontology design and database optimisation
• Experience working with varied data sources and formats
• Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript
• Understanding of CI/CD, Git and software development lifecycle practices
• Knowledge of data governance, security, metadata, lineage and master data
• Strong stakeholder communication and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Defence, Government or other secure-sector experience would be advantageous
