Job summary

Warwickshire County Council is seeking a Data Engineer to shape how data supports services, communities and decision‑making for a changing local government. You will maintain pipelines, databases and integrations while modernising data handling for future needs.

The role offers flexibility in where you work and encourages collaboration across a multidisciplinary team, including data engineering, property information and GIS. Experience with scripting, ETL, and GIS platforms will help you excel.

Qualifications

• Experience with SQL, Python or ETL tools to transform data.
• Ability to design and build M and DAX queries in Power BI.
• Experience managing complex datasets in PostgreSQL/PostGIS or cloud data lakes.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise work.
• Experience with GIS systems (ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online, or QGIS).
• Experience with Git or other version control systems.
