Job summary

Spaulding Ridge is seeking a Data Engineer to join the Data Solutions team in London. You will model data, design data pipelines, and manage data warehouses using Snowflake, BigQuery, and dbt, while engaging with clients to implement a modern data stack.

The role emphasizes analytics engineering, data ingestion using ELT tools, and delivering training and technical sessions to help customers achieve data-driven success.

Qualifications

• Experience modelling data, manipulating datasets, and managing data warehouses.
• High proficiency in SQL.
• Programming experience, ideally Python.
• Experience with any Cloud Provider (Azure and GCP preferred) and their data services.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as code (Terraform).
• Knowledge of BI tools such as Looker, Sigma, Power BI.
• Self-motivation to study and learn new data technologies.
• English fluency in speaking and writing.

Responsibilities

• Model data as an Analytics Engineer to create business logic from raw data.
• Assess clients' data infrastructure and propose improvements and designs.
• Evaluate and design data model pipelines for use cases and present results.
• Understand and manage data warehouses like BigQuery and Snowflake.
• Manage data ingestion via ELT tools (Workato, Boomi, Fivetran); cloud-based pipelines are a plus.
• Get certified in core technologies (Snowflake, Google Cloud, dbt).
• Deliver training and technical presentations; support customers implementing a Data Stack.
• Contribute to pre-sales to define project scope and estimates.
