Job Description:

Our Microsoft Data Engineering Practice delivers end-to-end data platforms and engineering pipelines across Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Bricks, alongside strategic guidance and governance support across various industries.

Role Overview:

As an expert Data Engineer Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Data Engineering strategy, mentoring and managing delivery teams, driving platform adoption, and ensuring high-quality outcomes for our clients. This role involves hands-on work in Data Engineering, from Data Modelling and design to developing in Spark and SQL.

Responsibilities:
  1. Lead end-to-end Data Engineering solution delivery on complex projects, ensuring technical excellence and business value.
  2. Mentor and guide Data Engineering teams, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
  3. Own and drive pre-sales activities, including developing proposals and solutions.
  4. Ensure adherence to best practices in data engineering, governance, security, and compliance.
  5. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  6. Advise internal teams and clients on Microsoft Fabric best practices and strategies.
  7. Conduct technical presentations, demos, and workshops to showcase solutions.
  8. Promote innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
  9. Facilitate requirements workshops and design sessions with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  10. Support revenue generation and brand building activities, including presenting demos and scoping client needs.
  11. Manage delivery plans, risks, dependencies, and communicate with senior stakeholders to align with strategic goals.
Skills and Experience:
  1. Proven experience in Data Engineering, with hands-on expertise in Spark; experience with Microsoft Fabric is a plus.
  2. Strong leadership skills, with experience managing teams in consulting or enterprise environments.
  3. Experience in pre-sales activities, including solution design and proposal writing.
  4. Extensive experience designing and implementing data pipelines, lakes, and warehouses.
  5. Strong knowledge of ETL, data modelling, and cloud solutions.
  6. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  7. Experience with Azure Data Services, SQL, Python, or similar technologies.
  8. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-600)
  • Microsoft Certified: Fabric Data Engineer Associate (DP-700)
