Job summary

Amazon.com, Inc. is seeking a Data Engineer for Prime Video in the United Kingdom to design and optimize data pipelines, model data, and implement ETL across services like Redshift and EMR.

You will work with large-scale datasets and partner with product teams to deliver analytics-ready data assets. In this role, you will write SQL, build datasets for analytics, and maintain the data platform with infrastructure-as-code using AWS CDK.

Qualifications

• Experience as a data engineer or related role with large datasets.
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing and ETL pipelines.
• Experience with AWS data services and big data tools.
• Experience working with or evaluating AI systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and optimize data pipelines to ingest and transform data.
• Create datasets for analytics and reporting, consolidating data from Prime Video systems.
• Implement big-data technologies to optimize processing of large datasets.
• Develop and maintain the data platform, including infrastructure-as-code using AWS CDK.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Analyze business processes, data models, and relational database implementations.
• Write high-performing SQL queries.
• Design and implement automated data processing solutions and data quality controls.
• Collaborate with software engineers to support the data needs of products.
• Participate in on-call rotations to support the team’s data pipelines.
• Optimize data processing and storage solutions to improve performance and reduce costs.
