Job summary

Recruit with Purpose in Leeds is seeking a Data Engineer to help build a Microsoft Fabric-based data platform from the ground up. You’ll design pipelines and structures powering analytics across the business, with a hands-on role that shapes engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with modern Microsoft data tooling (Fabric preferred; Azure and Databricks transferable).
• Hands-on experience building data pipelines and working with ETL/ELT processes.
• Strong SQL with PySpark or similar.
• Understanding of modern data architectures (lakehouse, medallion patterns).
• Experience with CI/CD and Azure DevOps.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, quality, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Designing and building data pipelines.
• Building into a Microsoft Fabric data platform.
• Implementing best practice across CI/CD, testing, and automation.
• Supporting cloud migration and the move towards a Fabric environment.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to define requirements and deliver solutions.
