Job summary

TalkTalk Business is seeking a Data Engineer to develop and maintain trusted data pipelines, warehouse structures and analytics-ready datasets to support reporting, insights, decision-making and AI initiatives across the organisation.

The role requires designing, building, and optimising data pipelines using Databricks, SQL, Python, and Azure data technologies. You will create datasets for Power BI, collaborate with stakeholders and contribute to data governance.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL development skills with large and complex datasets.
• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks for data engineering and transformation workloads.
• Proficiency in Python for data cleansing, transformation, automation, and analytics workflows.
• Experience designing and supporting enterprise data warehouse solutions.
• Experience developing and optimising Power BI datasets, semantic models, and reporting solutions.
• Strong understanding of data quality, governance, and data management principles.
• Experience working with Azure data technologies and cloud-based data platforms.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable data solutions.

How you will work

At TalkTalk Business we understand the importance of flexibility and connection in the workplace. That's why we have adopted a hybrid approach to working. Our way of working is to work 3 out of 5 days in the office (adjusted for colleagues who are part-time) at our HQ in Soapworks, Salford Quays with the remaining days offering the option to work from home.
