Airedale Group in the United Kingdom is looking for a data engineer to enhance their data platform, moving beyond standard dashboards. This role involves refining pipelines, implementing new data strategies, and ensuring data quality while working closely with various teams.
The ideal candidate will have strong SQL and Power BI skills and be open to new methodologies, alongside a passion for data accuracy and efficiency. Airedale Group offers private health insurance and retail discounts along with 23 annual leave days.
Airedale Group is the UK’s leading design, installation and maintenance provider for commercial kitchens in the hospitality and food service industry — working with clients from initial design through bespoke fabrication, installation and ongoing maintenance, backed by one of the largest bodies of professional maintenance engineers in the country. We are expanding rapidly, employing circa 750 people across multiple UK locations.
We’re looking for a data engineer ready to outgrow the world of Power BI dashboards and help us take our data platform to the next level.
Our reporting runs on Microsoft Fabric and Power BI, and it gives us a solid foundation to build on. The opportunity now is to evolve it — moving the heavy lifting upstream into a properly engineered data platform, with aggregation and transformation handled closer to source and the right information surfaced intelligently to the people who need it. In that model, Power BI and Fabric become a lean, fast presentation layer fed by clean, pre-computed data.
You won’t be expected to architect this alone — the direction is set and evolving with the wider technology team. You will be a genuine partner in delivering it: someone who can hold a real technical conversation, implement with confidence, and say when an approach won’t work in practice. What it does offer is real autonomy and the scope to shape how data is handled across a growing business.
