Job summary

British Heart Foundation in London is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join the Enterprise Data Management team. You will operate and improve our Azure Databricks data platform, delivering scalable, governed data products to enable data-driven decision making.

Collaborating with data product owners, BI teams and stakeholders, you will translate requirements into valuable outcomes, design resilient ETL pipelines, and balance competing priorities in a hybrid working environment.

About the role

The opportunity Our Enterprise Data Management team serves to support data product delivery for British Heart Foundation (BHF), enabling data driven decision making via a suite of Platform capabilities including Reporting, AI/ML and Data Science products.

We're recruiting for a Senior Data Engineer to join this growing team and play a key role in operating and continuously improving our Enterprise Data Intelligence Platform running on Microsoft Azure and Databricks.

Responsible for delivering scalable, trusted and governed data products, you'll enable data driven decision making and accelerate time to value partnering with data product owners, BI teams, business stakeholders and Enterprise Architecture teams to turn requirements into valuable outcomes.

As our Senior Data Engineer, you'll join a Data Applications team that supports and administers project delivery for one of the organisation's most valuable assets; the central supporter database.

About you

With advanced SQL knowledge and experience, you'll have a good understanding of Databricks Azure, or similar and will have previous experience implementing scalable data pipelines ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) data integration processes.

This is a hybrid role, where your work will be split between your home and at least one day per week, on average, in our London Office. This may vary from time to time, so you will need to work in a flexible way to unlock your best work for our cause.
