Job summary

Specialist Construction & Engineering Contractor is seeking a Project Manager to lead a data centre infrastructure project in Surrey. You will oversee safe, compliant delivery across design development, coordination with utility providers, consultants and client teams, and ensure on-time handover.

The role requires proven experience managing complex construction projects, with knowledge of NEC/JCT contracts and strong stakeholder management. A comprehensive benefits package is included.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing complex construction projects.
• Experience delivering civil, infrastructure, groundworks or CSA packages, ideally within data centres or other mission-critical environments.
• Strong knowledge of earthworks, cut/fill, foundations, drainage, utilities, roads and external works.
• Strong understanding of NEC and JCT contracts.
• Experience managing commercial performance, forecasting and cost control.
• Strong understanding of programme, risk and change management.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams.
• Knowledge of design and build delivery processes.
• Experience managing clients, consultants, subcontractors and wider stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of construction quality, compliance and assurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary project teams to deliver objectives safely and efficiently.
• Establish governance, project controls and reporting processes in line with contract and company standards.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and client expectations; manage stakeholder engagement.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, cash flow and overall commercial performance.
• Identify risks and opportunities; support change control and cost management.
• Coordinate design, construction and interfaces to ensure smooth delivery.
• Champion health, safety and environmental performance across the project.
• Oversee quality plans, inspections and defect prevention; ensure handover of compliant works.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.
