Description

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment to ensure continual customer access to cloud services. We work on complex problems involving supply chain variables and are seeking talented individuals to join us.

You will join a diverse team of software, hardware, network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and more. Your role involves collaborating across AWS to uphold safety, security, and cost-efficiency, fostering an inclusive culture that welcomes innovation and ownership.

The infrastructure includes custom and off-the-shelf applications across various platforms. As a Data Center Cluster Manager, you will manage a large team across multiple Data Centers on a 24/7 rotating shift. Familiarity with Problem, Change & Incident Management, expenditure tracking, process design, and implementation is essential. Your responsibilities include mentoring staff, supporting infrastructure projects, and proposing scalable technical solutions.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Manage teams of experienced Data Center Managers and Technicians, including recruitment, coaching, performance reviews, and rotations.
  2. Develop strategies to improve operational efficiency and productivity of 24x7 Data Center operations.
  3. Optimize workflows, processes, and throughput for Data Center operations.
  4. Manage the global annual operating budget, including CAPEX and OPEX.
  5. Ensure operational KPIs and metrics are measured and met.
  6. Drive innovation and automation within Data Center Operations.
  7. Enhance service quality and customer experience through continuous improvement.
  8. Manage large-scale events and crisis situations in Data Centers.
  9. Oversee vendor performance and ensure compliance with security policies.

Basic Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in IT Infrastructure, Data Centers, manufacturing, or military with people management experience.
  • Strong data analysis skills and experience with change and incident management.
  • Knowledge of security, safety, and customer data protection, with ability to learn new Data Center technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of server hardware, maintenance, troubleshooting, security, logistics, power, cooling, and facilities engineering.
  • Experience with capacity planning, Lean Six Sigma, Agile, and project management.
  • Data Center certifications such as CDCP/S/E, CDCMP/TP.
  • Strong communication and decision-making skills in fast-paced environments.
