Job summary

Skyward Select is seeking a Principal Contractor for a data-centre project in Greater London. The role focuses on leading electrical QA/QC, ensuring inspections and documentation meet exacting standards across delivery, engineering and commissioning teams.

Flexibility around salary may apply for exceptional data-centre experience. The successful candidate will drive ITPs, quality plans and NCR management and liaise with clients and subcontractors to deliver compliant handover.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an MEP QA/QC Manager or Senior QA/QC Engineer.
• Data-centre or mission-critical project background is essential.
• Strong electrical engineering or installation experience.
• Detailed knowledge of electrical inspection and testing requirements.
• Experience managing ITPs, quality plans, NCRs and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with electrical distribution, containment, switchgear and related systems.
• Experience supporting testing, commissioning and project handover.
• Meticulous attention to detail and robust document control.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the project Quality Management Plan.
• Prepare, review and manage inspection and test plans.
• Monitor electrical installations against drawings, specs and quality standards.
• Coordinate inspections with project teams, subcontractors, consultants and client.
• Manage inspection records, test certificates and quality documentation.
• Track defects, observations and NCRs through to closure.
• Carry out quality audits of subcontractors and supply-chain partners.
• Support factory and site acceptance testing.
• Coordinate quality requirements with the commissioning programme.
• Manage snagging, completion records and system handover documentation.
• Ensure electrical turnover packs are complete and submitted on programme.
• Produce reports covering inspections, defects, documentation and quality risks.
• Promote a strong quality culture across the project team.
