Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. in Newport, Wales seeks a Fabric Technician to maintain building fabric and support critical data centre environments. The role involves planned maintenance, reactive repairs, and collaboration with the Engineering Supervisor to meet service levels.

You will cover 24/7 shift requirements, liaise with clients, and ensure safe working practices while maintaining a professional CBRE presence on site.

Responsibilities

• Ensure routine PPMs are carried out to building fabric items in accordance with site task schedules and asset lists.
• Escort subcontractors to requirements of secure site and the contract.
• Carry out general fabric technician repairs such as toilet blockages, cosmetic repairs, plumbing, door closers, and other remedial tasks.
• Respond to reactive tasks and be proactive in highlighting areas for improvements; include concessionary stores and fabric items.
• Maintain safe working practices and ensure plant faults are remedied to keep plant in serviceable order.
• Provide parts lists and estimated timescales for remedial works; escalate concerns to Engineering Supervisor.
• Complete paperwork for PPM, reactive, and breakdown works and pass to Engineering Supervisor and contract support administrator.
• Develop good working relationships with CBRE staff and client representatives; ensure safe, neat, and professional working environment.
