Boden Group is seeking a Data Centre Electrical Shift Engineer in Hayes to maintain critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure within a 24/7 data centre environment. You will join a new shift team ahead of operations, working across critical power and cooling systems.

The role includes HV training with potential appointment as HV Authorised Person, with a continental shift pattern and a strong focus on uptime, safety, and compliance.

Formación

• Time-served electrical apprenticeship or equivalent.
• City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in electrical discipline.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
• Strong electrical maintenance, fault-finding and reactive repair experience.
• Experience in data centres or critical environments is highly desirable.
• Working knowledge of mechanical plant and shift-based operations.
• HV Authorised Person or Inspection & Testing qualifications would be advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Complete planned and reactive maintenance across critical electrical and mechanical systems.
• Diagnose faults across LV distribution, switchgear, UPS systems, generators and lighting.
• Support HVAC, chilled water, CRAC/CRAH units, pumps and associated mechanical plant.
• Monitor BMS and EPMS platforms, responding to alarms and system events.
• Complete inspections, permits, isolations and accurate maintenance records and logbooks.
• Respond to breakdowns while protecting uptime and operational continuity.
• Undertake HV Authorised Person duties following training and formal appointment.

A Data Centre Electrical Shift Engineer is required in Hayes to maintain critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure within a 24/7 data centre environment.

You’ll join a new shift engineering team ahead of the data centre becoming operational, working across critical power and cooling systems.

The role includes required technical training, including HV training with the opportunity to become an appointed HV Authorised Person.

The Role

• Complete planned and reactive maintenance across critical electrical and mechanical systems.
• Diagnose faults across LV distribution, switchgear, UPS systems, generators and lighting.
• Support HVAC, chilled water, CRAC/CRAH units, pumps and associated mechanical plant.
• Monitor BMS and EPMS platforms, responding appropriately to alarms and system events.
• Complete inspections, permits, isolations and accurate maintenance records and logbooks.
• Respond to breakdowns while protecting uptime and operational continuity.

About You
