Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Shift Engineer to support critical electrical systems within a data centre in Peterborough. You will perform maintenance, fault finding and repairs on generators and UPS, while adhering to health and safety procedures and lockout/tagout.

You’ll work rotating day/night shifts, solo and as part of a team, with ongoing training opportunities. Strong electrical knowledge, formal qualifications, and a proactive, safety-conscious approach are

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation with AM2
• 18th Edition (BS 7671) qualification
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, plant, and controls

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance, testing and fault-finding on critical assets including generators and UPS systems
• Complete repairs and update maintenance work orders accurately and on time
• Use appropriate tools and test equipment safely, understanding their limitations
• Follow strict health and safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (no live working)
• Support Authorised Person (AP) duties and maintain high housekeeping standards
