Job summary

Dalkia UK is seeking a Deputy Shift Lead for a permanent role at a data centre in the Welwyn Garden City area. You will be the first point of contact for engineering technical support and will manage maintenance tasks and site records to support reliability and client satisfaction.

The role requires electrical qualifications and experience with data centre environments. Expect 12-hour continental shifts, with benefits including pension, life assurance, private medical insurance, and flexible

Qualifications

• Data centre experience required.
• HVAP qualification and electrical certs desired.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for Engineers for technical support.
• Receive PPM instructions and undertake maintenance tasks.
• Ensure consumables are available and stock levels maintained.
• Complete all records and site logs for client approval.
• Undertake diagnostic analyses and report on system reliability.
• Carry out visual condition inspections and report potential issues.
• Maintain plant areas clean and safe; support HSE policies.
• Attend emergency calls and communicate progress to client.
