Job summary

3D Personnel Ltd, on behalf of a leading international contractor, seeks a CSA Engineer to support civil, structural and architectural packages for a major data centre development in Blyth, Northumberland. The role is site-based, coordinating construction activities to programme, specification and quality requirements.

The incumbent will perform setting out, site inspections, engineering checks and review drawings, while managing RFIs, QA/QC procedures and snagging.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in CSA construction.
• Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Practical experience delivering civil, structural or architectural construction packages.
• Good understanding of construction drawings, setting out and site engineering procedures.
• Experience managing technical queries, inspections and quality documentation.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Previous data centre experience advantageous, although candidates from major commercial, industrial or infrastructure projects will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of civil, structural and architectural packages across the project.
• Carry out setting out, site inspections and engineering checks.
• Review construction drawings, specifications and technical information.
• Monitor subcontractor activities and ensure works are delivered in accordance with approved designs.
• Raise and manage RFIs to resolve engineering and construction issues.
• Oversee quality inspections and support QA/QC procedures.
• Identify, record and track variations.
• Coordinate snagging and defects close-out.
• Monitor daily construction progress and assist with programme delivery.
• Work closely with the CSA Lead, Construction Managers and subcontractors.
