Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Project Manager for data centre projects in London. You will lead large-scale, ground-up data centre construction from inception through commissioning for major technology clients across Europe.

You will advise at conception, establish success criteria, manage quality/safety, governance and budgets, and coordinate with clients and consultants to deliver on time and within scope.

Qualifications

• Construction consultancy experience strongly preferred.
• Professionally qualified in construction, project management, engineering, or architecture.
• Has obtained chartered status or on path to achieving this.
• Thorough understanding of the total project life cycle from conception to post-project review.
• Excellent knowledge of project management concepts, tools and techniques.
• Design, management or construction experience in general construction environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Advising at a strategic level at project conception to achieve client objectives.
• Lead establishment of overall success criteria: time, cost, technical & performance.
• Plan and manage quality, safety, health and environment issues.
• Establish project governance, processes & systems for the project.
• Produce detailed project plans and manage procurement of resources.
• Lead and facilitate cross-functional project teams.
• Monitor performance using KPIs to improve delivery.
• Manage change control and project finances.
• Coordinate information flow with client via meetings & reports.
• Produce formal progress reports and interface with client and consultants.
